    "content": "Thank you, Hon. Speaker. I stand to support the Petition by Hon. Mwadime. The issue of wildlife conflict is much more widespread there. I think we have had petitions here before. We put in place a new law, but the compensation is still slow. In many cases, it does not come. In my Seme Constituency, we have the menace of hippopotamuses and crocodiles. Of course, crocodiles are killing people and animals. The hippopotamus menace is such that people cannot plant crops, vegetables and maize along the lake. This has been raised many times. The organisations that are involved are aware. Many times, particularly when there are attacks by crocodiles, they seem to protect the animals more than human beings. I think there should be a broader look into the issue of human-animal conflict."
