I say this with a lot of confidence because I recall those days vividly when the clamour for multiparty democracy was at its apex. It only required people of courage and commitment such as the great Hon. Matiba for the then ruling party to be challenged. Hon. Kenneth Matiba stuck his neck out in the defence of the common person by taking the bull by the horns. Many of us who were young then remember that it was never easy for the then dictatorial regime to be tackled in the manner Hon. Kenneth Matiba did, with his colleagues.
