"content": "Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, it looks like the Questioner does not have the background of this issue. I would request the Chair to allow me to explain the background of this particular issue, up to where we are. The complainants in the police criminal case No.121/661/2010 are bishops Elijah Mulela Kaseve and Joseph Membasi of Good News Church of Africa and Gospel Furthering Bible Church, respectively. The mother church, namely, Gospel Furthering Fellowship Church is an offshoot of a missionary church which was established in 1968 from where the two splinter churches started. The founders of the missionary church came into the country in early 1930s. They founded their missionary church and work on property of Nairobi Eastleigh L.R.No.36/586 which was registered under the trustees of the church as follows:- The Good News Church of Africa - Bishop Elijah Mulela, Thomas Mutise and Reverend Isaac Bett. The trustees of the Gospel Furthering Bible Church were Bishop Reverend Joseph Chuma, Bishop Joel Kijilu and Thomas Mwangangi. I am giving the background so that the Member can build his argument."
