    "content": "Thank you, Mr. Speaker, sir, for giving me this opportunity to join you and my colleagues in condoling the family of the late hon. Matiba, his wife, Edith Matiba, and children. They are going through a difficult moment at this particular time following his death because of the many issues they are going through. I did not interact with hon. Matiba at a personal level but I read about him in the newspapers and saw him on Television and he was a newsmaker. He was a leader in this country who contributed a lot, especially in the liberation struggle and democracy. He will be remembered for his fight for democracy and that is the reason we are enjoying the fruits today. The late hon. Matiba was an all-round person. If you look at him in the political field, he fought for democracy. He was keen in the area of education and started a number of schools which benefited many people. He was a shrewd businessman and therefore was able to create quite a number of jobs for the people who were jobless. We know that jobs are not easy to get in this country but he was able to go out of his way and create jobs. The late hon. Matiba led a selfless life. Therefore, we need to celebrate the late hon. Matiba as a hero and remind ourselves the many things that he did for this country. He should be included in the books of history and not to be forgotten. We need to see how we can celebrate the life of the late Hon. Matiba as a hero and remember the many things that he did for this country.
