Members, pursuant to Standing Order No.225 (2)(b), I wish to convey to the House that my office is in receipt of a petition signed by one Mohamed Mohamed Sheikh, a resident of Wajir County. The petitioner is praying that the National Assembly exercises its legislative authority under Articles 95 and 96(1) of the Constitution by introducing and passing a Bill to amend the Constitution to set age limit of eligibility to run for election as president of the Republic of Kenya at 70 years."
