"content": "I thank Members for their positive and very healthy contributions. I believe the Government will look into this Motion and set up centres for Kenyans to access counselling services. I note Hon. Wamunyinyi’s concern that there was an Act for the same. My argument is that the Act that Hon. Wamunyinyi referred to talks about the professionals. It legalises their services. Hon. Njoki Ndung’u also brought a Bill like this one. It was on gender-based violence. Hon. Njoki Ndung’u’s Act was dealing with the perpetrators of violence. Mine is about prevention of violence, and why we should not get into what is happening in our families. The electronic version of the Official Hansard Report is for information purposes only.
