Temporary Deputy Chair I beg to move: THAT, Clause 25 of the Bill be amended in sub clause (1) by — (a) deleting the word “property” appearing before the word “operation”; and, (b) inserting the word “irrigation” immediately after the words “association or at”. Ownership of land is a sensitive issue which requires a broad-based approach and mechanism to resolve. This proposed amendment seeks to remove the resolution of disputes relating to property from the ambit of irrigation and Water Users’ Association or at the scheme level. Thank you."
