    "content": "THAT, the comparable rates provided by the Ministry have demonstrated inconsistency with the value of recent land transactions that have been undertaken in certain areas within the constituency; FURTHER THAT, efforts to persuade the relevant authorities to review the rates have borne no fruit; THAT, the matter presented in this Petition is not pending before any tribunal or court of law. Therefore, your humble Petitioners pray that the National Assembly, through the Departmental Committee on Lands – (i) Recommends review of the comparable rates provided by the Ministry of Lands with the aim of up-valuing the rates provided for the Ongata Rongai Station to equal the value of the Ngong SGR Station. (ii) Recommends that the value of land in Nkoroi and along the Nairobi–Magadi Road be scaled up to match the values provided for the Ngong’ area. (iii) Recommends scale-up of the rates provided for Kandisi, Ilmerijo and Olkeri areas. (iv) Ensures that the petitioners’ plight is addressed. (v) Makes any other order or direction that it deems fit in the circumstances of the matter. Your Petitioners will forever pray. This is an issue of urgency because the compensation will start as soon as possible. It may start as early as next week. Therefore, I plead with the Departmental Committee on Lands to take up this issue immediately because if they start compensating, it may take a different direction."
