Temporary Deputy Chairman, I beg to move: THAT, Clause 5 of the Bill be amended— (a) in sub-clause (2) by deleting paragraph (c) and substituting therefor the following new paragraph — (b) the Chairperson of the relevant committee of the Council of Governors; (c) in sub-clause (3) — (i) by deleting the expression “(2), (k), (l), (m) and (n)” and substituting therefor the expression “(2), (k), (l), (m), (n), (o) and (p) (ii) by inserting the words “in accordance with the provisions of the First Schedule” immediately after the words “members of the Forum”. The justification is that the amendment seeks to create clarity on the representative of the Council of Governors (CoG) at the consultative forum by specifying that it is the Chairperson of the relevant committee of the CoG. Further, it seeks to give reference to the First Schedule which prescribes the procedure for appointing a member of the consultative forum."
