Temporary Deputy Chairman, I beg to move: THAT, Clause 2 of the Bill be amended by inserting the following definition in proper alphabetical sequence — “pornography” includes the representation in books, magazines, photographs, films, and other media, telecommunication apparatus of scenes of sexual behaviour that are erotic or lewd and are designed to arouse sexual interest”; It is with regard to the definition of the word “pornography”. In all the legislations that I have perused, there is no definition of the actual word “pornography”. Definitions are important as they enable us to have a common understanding of what they express and the essential nature of the word."
