"content": "Thank you, Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, for calling the Senator for Murang’a County to order. To me, the call for forgiveness is the greatest sign of leadership; the acceptance from the highest office that we are human. In the process of transacting our political business, we cross the paths of many people. Once we do so, it is only good that we find time and reason to apologise and hold hands together to move forward as a nation. I want to conclude by talking about what I think was a missed opportunity. Yes, it is true the President discharged his constitutional responsibility in the State of the Nation Address by tabling the three reports as required by law: The first Annual Report on the measures taken and the progress achieved in the realization of the national values, the First Annual Report on Progress made on the fulfillment of the International Obligations of the Republic and the First Annual Report on State of Security.
