    "content": "Thank you, Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, for giving me this chance to join my colleague Senators in condoling with the people of Nakuru for the disaster that befell them. I congratulate the able Sen. Kihika for standing with her people during the tragedy. Our communities need to be sensitized when tragedies await them. They should not keep quiet especially when they see that there is a disaster that is about to happen in their community. It is important for us to prevent and not to wait for the healing processes that are taking place in Nakuru right now. Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, we need not ask why the disaster is to be prevented. It is an obvious reason that we need to prevent these disasters especially when it comes to fire and the rain havoc that is befalling our nation right now. I beg to support this Statement that has been brought by our able Senator. Something needs to be done for the people of Nakuru and others who have been in similar situations, such as those of the Nairobi, Mukuru Sinai slum fire disaster in this country."
