    "content": "Thank you, Madam Temporary Speaker. From the onset, I am standing to support the adjournment Motion because the Legislative Summit is our baby, unlike the Devolution Conference where we were invited guests. We will be dealing with our colleagues in this Summit and will be discussing the issues of representation, oversight and legislation with our partners. We will be dealing more with oversight for it is our duty as Senate to ensure that the money that goes to the counties is properly utilized and used for the intended purpose. The MCAs, being in the day to day running of the county at the local level, are better placed to do oversight such that things that come to the Senate are well probed. We can exchange notes when we are in Mombasa and interact with them as we get to know how to move forward. My colleague, Sen. (Dr.) Kabaka, talked about writing a book and I can assure him that I will be the first person to buy his book. He has one customer."
