"content": "Firstly, I want to speak about the national values that the President spoke about. He has proved to be committed to them. A good example is patriotism, which has been clearly demonstrated by the famous handshake and which has now brought the country together. We are enjoying more peace. We have a friendly country. Even when you look around in Parliament, we do not have a lot of hostility like it was in the beginning when we came here. Everyone is supporting each other now. Therefore, I want to highly commend the President for that. On the same strength under the national values, we have issues of equality from the gender lens and we are not doing very well. The women of this country are not fully represented especially in national appointments. Therefore, as the President is getting committed to those other national values, he should also try to be committed to equality. In the spirit of cohesion, togetherness and the handshake, I want to urge my colleagues, especially the male Members of Parliament, to support the two-thirds gender rule when it is brought to the House for debate."
