(a) Installation of a diesel power generator in Lafey town was shelved after it was established that it would be more economical to extend the power lines from Elwak Town, where we have an isolated power station that was commissioned in 2008. (b) The question of a power line from Elwak to Lafey Town has been earmarked for implementation during this current financial year, that is 2010/2011at an estimated cost of Kshs60 million."
