    "content": "Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Chairman. I support the budget allocation for the State Department for Fisheries Aquaculture and the blue economy because it is important, as a country, to grow the blue economy. Indeed, we have got one of the longest coastlines and one of the best parts of Lake Victoria. Therefore, encouraging this kind of department to have more resources is very important. Also, when the department is given such funding, they should consider to expand fish farming and even engage Arid and Semi-Arid Lands (ASAL) communities. So, that fund that we are giving to them should not necessarily focus on the current areas where that particular economic activity falls. Thank you and I support this allocation."
