"content": "Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, that is what I was going to say. This Question was with respect to returning residents during the last five years. In particular, I was supposed to give details of vehicles, passport numbers and details of their departure and return. I concentrated on that figure. With respect to this list, it is a very long list. This letter was not copied to me. It was addressed to the investigation officer at KRA. It goes on to say:- âDue to the number of units, we are unable to attach in this list copies of letters granting waiversâ. These are vehicles that have been given waivers but they are unable to confirm who gave the waiver. It is true that I am the only person empowered by law to give that waiver, on the advice of the National Standards Council. Going back to the Question, it is clearly stated that it is in respect of Kenyan residents who are returning."
