If we allocate them Kshs2 billion as they had proposed earlier, each elected Senator will get Kshs3, 262,411 per month. The nominated Senators will be allocated 6 per cent of the Fund. The amount which we have allocated in the Budget will still give them Kshs815, 602 per month. They can use that money to track expenditure, hold meetings and educate people on devolution. Who is educating the people on the national Government’s NG-CDF funds? Do we also give money to Members of the National Assembly to hold meetings? Where will it end? The MCAs will also demand money to educate people."
