    "content": "Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I would like hon. Members to really appreciate that the Government is going out of its way. Last year the price was Kshs1, 500 and after a lot of consultations, we have adjusted our prices to Kshs1, 800 so that we can be able to attract more maize in our stores. This House has given the Minister of State for Special Programmes only Kshs1 billion to purchase maize from the farmers. So, it is the responsibility of this House to give us enough money so that we can continue buying enough stocks from the farmers."
