The Traffic Department has also forwarded a proposal to the Ministry of Transport on the need to introduce instant ticketing for traffic offenders as well as the review of the Traffic Act punishments to deter offenders. The Government is also in the process of acquiring modern traffic law enforcement equipment, including alcoblow and radar speed detector cameras."
