I think what has been misunderstood is, for example, if a punter places a bet and loses Ksh100 and at the end of the month gets Kshs200, the Ksh200 will not be taxed but the difference between Kshs200 and Kshs100. In the Committee, we went through this, but it has flaws as well. How do you prove how many times a person has placed bets and the amount of money lost before winning? We are at the mercy of the betting companies. I support but we need to strengthen this in the next amendment."
