"content": "Corruption is the reason some of us are coming up with amendments in our corruption laws. The kind of impunity we are seeing in our country is because one can do anything in this country even in broad daylight. You go to our courts and come out scot free. We have to make people fear being corrupt and that is one of the reasons some of us are going ahead to amend our anti-corruption laws to include stiffer penalties, including enlisting some of these crimes to be punished through capital punishment. I was very happy that last week in China, someone who had received bribes, who was a deputy mayor at some town in China, was sentenced to death after being found guilty of colluding and collecting bribes."
