I almost complained about the time it took for me to be reached but I have realised it was a blessing in disguise because I have had the opportunity to listen to my colleagues and hear their thoughts about this Bill. The vogue term this afternoon is “I protest”. These words were used by Sen. Omogeni and Sen. (Dr.) Ali because of the many provisions in this Bill that they do not agree with. I served as a Member of the Committee on Roads and Transportation in the previous Senate. I sat and listened to all stakeholders who gave us memoranda and presentations about this Bill that is before us.
