    "content": "Thank you, Mr. Speaker, Sir, for allowing me to add my voice to this very important Statement. I also want to congratulate Sen. (Prof.) Ekal, for bringing it to the House. Mr. Speaker, Sir, for those of us who were born and brought up in Northern Kenya, this is something that we are used to. However, the unfortunate bit of it is that our grandchildren are going through the same experience. I remember that when we were young, when we went to school, we were never sure of coming back home and meeting our dads simply because anything could happen at any time. Therefore, it is unfortunate that we are still debating the same problem that affected many of us when we were young. Mr. Speaker, Sir, this problem not only affects the lives of pastoralists in Isiolo, but all pastoralists in Northern Kenya. There are some issues that are going on there, but nobody is talking about them. It seems as if the lives of pastoralists are not important to the rest of Kenyans. It is high time that leaders from pastoralist areas came together and talked to one another, because the solution is in our hands.
