    "content": "demanding to know how work permits are issued to foreigners and why they do work that can be done by ordinary Kenyans. I hope this Petition by Sen. Sakaja will receive the necessary attention that it deserves and that there will be a proper legal and policy framework to ensure that we jealously protect our small traders. Most of them are young people who are trying to eke out a living. We need to protect them because they have taken loans from banks and other financial institutions. I support this Petition and I hope the police and other agencies will not take advantage of the situation and harass small scale traders in disguise of cracking down the contraband goods because they do not have the capacity to do so."
