    "content": "The Committee has a huge workload currently which emanates from a number of petitions. We receive petitions, some of them through the House. We receive letters which are written directly to the Committee. I was talking to one of the Members this afternoon who was asking me whether it is right for a committee to handle a matter which has been written directly to it. We are already experiencing these problems where people write petitions to you and they also write letters directly to the committee on issues relating to compulsory acquisition of land. Most of these claims talk about under-valuation. We know very well that this is not within our mandate."
