"content": "The Bill also provides a resolution mechanism in the event of any dispute between the Government and the person to whom the land is acquired from. As a lawyer, you are aware that the biggest numbers of cases in this country are found in Environment and Land Court. Most of those cases revolve around land disputes. In the event one is not satisfied with the compensation that is given, you have to go to court. Currently, you can only get a date in that court in 2020. Therefore, providing a mechanism for quick, fast and efficient way of resolving such dispute is a welcome relief to any people who may have such a dispute. The period upon which compensation will be done has also been shortened. This makes sure that once your land is acquired, you are assured within a certain duration and timeframe that you will get your compensation."
