"content": "Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I have said that the Mover went deep into the legalities and constitutionality of the issue at hand, and I do not want to dwell on it. However, I want to remind you that in the last Parliament, so many Bills were passed and assented to by that House without the concurrence of this House. It is now high time somebody should be sponsored by this House to go to court and challenge the constitutionality of those Bills. I am sure that if we do that, the courts will be reasonable enough to declare those particular Bills unconstitutional. Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I want to encourage you to always ensure that whenever the Miscellaneous Amendment Bills go for deliberations in the “lower” House, we must always insist that they must come to this House for concurrence because they touch on all manner of things that affect counties.
