    "content": " Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I thank hon. Senators who have made tremendous contributions on the Irrigation Bill. This Bill had come to this House before it was introduced again in the National Assembly. It is an important Bill and a subject matter that is dear to all of us, especially as Senators, and in so far as the Government’s objectives of food security and regulation of irrigation activities in the country are concerned. We have just come from a terrible disaster in Solai and many issues were raised in so far as the licensing of those dams is concerned. The same applies to irrigation.
