    "content": "Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I wish to thank my predecessor and good primary school teacher for giving me a tough contest in the concluded by-election. It was, indeed, a memorable two-and-a-half year petition and by-election. I also wish to thank the supporters of the other candidates. I respect their freedom of choice and the democratic gains they have shown in the Wajir South elections. I want to put it across that I am their Member of Parliament and I will represent them equally. I look forward to working with them."
