Speaker, I beg to move the following Special Motion: THAT, taking into consideration the recommendations of the Parliamentary Service Commission in their Report on the Appointment of the Parliamentary Service Commissioner who is not a Member of Parliament, laid on the Table of the House on Tuesday, 31st July 2018, and pursuant to the provisions of Article 127(2)(d) of the Constitution, this House appoints Hon. Samuel Kiprono Chepkong’a as a member of the Parliamentary Service Commission. Article 127 of the Constitution of Kenya establishes a PSC with responsibilities set out in clause 6(a) to (e) and the Parliamentary Service Act. These include the following: (a) Providing services and facilities to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of Parliament; The electronic version of the Official Hansard Report is for information purposes only.
