We should take this as a serious business; that under normal circumstances, when you cross the Floor, you have indeed crossed the Floor. In former traditions, that would then require you to resign. I would have expected that, by now, Sen. Cherargei would have sensed the mood and quietly crossed over to the other side so that he can prosecute his agenda or Motion. Obviously, he is on the wrong side. I would have expected him by now, to have politely and quietly – while the debate is going on, seeking your ruling – moved back to that side so that he can give notice of this Motion properly. Mr. Speaker, Sir, there is so much that goes into it; you take time and pain to walk through there and bow to the Mace before resuming your seat. Surely, for a Motion being moved by a Member from the Government side – because it is obvious that we are not in the Government but in opposition – it should be moved from the other side.
