Temporary Deputy Chairlady, I beg to move: THAT, Clause 5 of the Bill be amended by deleting the words “establish the” appearing in paragraph (b) and substituting therefor the words “establish that the acquiring body has identified the”. The Committee is of the view that this clause be amended by substituting in the words “establish that the acquiring body has identified the”. The justification for this amendment is to give powers to the acquiring body and not the National Land Commission (NLC).
