    "content": " Thank you, Hon. Speaker. I rise to second the amendments by Hon. Godfrey Osotsi to this Report. I represent a sugar belt constituency. I am a sugarcane farmer and I understand the problems that we have in the sugar industry. If we are in a hurry to pass the Report without making the necessary amendments, it will not be of any help to Kenyans. We need a proper audit of the sugar industry. If we have to resolve the problems that ail the sugar industry, we need to know how much contraband sugar is in our market. Two, what are we doing or what is in the Report that can help put an end to the mess that we have? There should be a temporary ban on the importation of sugar, because you cannot control something that is ongoing. We have to stop it."
