    "content": "Thank you, Mr. Speaker, Sir, for giving me a chance to add my voice to this very important Statement by Sen. Khaniri. The issue of the cost of power vs consumption in this country is something that we all need to look into . This will ensure that the mama mboga and the big investors produce economically and viably rather than having them invest in projects where they will be unable to get profit because of the energy cost. I sit in the Committee on Energy and I know that we have already summoned the Cabinet Secretary to appear before the Committee because of the high cost of power and the poor connection to our schools. We may assume that all public schools are connected as we talk, but they are not. That is just a picture that the Ministry has painted because many schools in our counties have electricity poles that are not connected. Therefore, we shall invite Members who are interested in this matter to come and give their views and ideas. There is also the issue of illegal connections that have caused fires in our urban areas. That is also an issue that we need to look into as a Committee. Thank you."
