    "content": "The crop produces over 100 by-products. It is the only tree in this world that can do that. I do not want to go into the details. Like I said, we have a possible annual turnover of Kshs13 billion for this country which is not being realised. The Daily Nation on 2nd November 2010 said that there is need to exploit local resources such as the coconut tree as they have huge economic benefit which can only be realised through proper value addition, interventions and linkages thus create more employment, alleviate poverty and boost Kenya’s economic growth towards middle class industrialised nation as envisioned in the Vision 2030."
