    "content": "The importance of meteorology cannot be underestimated. Weather patterns cause havoc to our livelihoods in this part of the world. We periodically get cyclic drought patterns. Specifically, people who come from the parts of Rift Valley where we have pastoralist and farmers know what I am talking about. We rely on rainfall and rainfall patterns. Climate, as an instrument of survival, is being threatened by climate change. Therefore, coordination of weather patterns, sharing weather data and analysis, especially the extreme climate aspect of it, is very important. It goes a long way in preventing a great loss of crop and animal survival."
