If you have filed a question and you have asked it on the Floor of the House and you do not appear before the Committee, then the Chair will drop the question and it cannot be asked again until six months are over. If you are not there, as it was done in the old system, you can write to the Speaker seeking to be represented by a colleague with whom you share a county.
