"content": "I was somewhat surprised when some of my colleagues were saying that nobody should ask where police officers come from and their ethnic background. What does the Constitution say? Is it not talking of any employment in the Government to reflect the face of Kenya? This ensures that all regions of Kenya can manage to get a share of the cake. I emphasise that the police force is a very important institution. It must reflect the face of Kenya. All regions of Kenya should have a share. I support this list because it has taken into account the face of Kenya. Those who are saying that we should not think of the ethnic origins of police officers are not right because they are stating what the Constitution does not support. I do not agree with them."
