    "content": " Madam Temporary Speaker, I beg to issue a statement on the business of the Senate for the week commencing 6th November, 2018, pursuant to Standing Order 52(1). Hon. Senators, pursuant to Standing Order 52(1), I hereby present to the Senate the business of the House for the week commencing Tuesday, 6th November, 2018. As you are aware, pursuant to the Calendar of the Senate adopted on 20th February, 2018, the House will proceed on an 11 day recess at the rise of the House today until Tuesday, 6th November, 2018. This period will afford Senators the opportunity to be in the counties and engage with their respective constituents. Consequently, upon resumption of sittings on Tuesday, 6th November, 2018, the Senate Business Committee (SBC) will meet to schedule the business of the Senate for the ensuing week. Subject to further directions by the SBC, the Senate will on Tuesday 6th November, 2018 consider Bills due for Second Reading, Committee of the Whole and also continue with consideration of business that will not be concluded in the Order Paper. On Wednesday, 7th November and Thursday, 8th November, 2018, the Senate will consider business that will not be concluded on Tuesday, and any other business scheduled by the SBC. Hon. Senators, the following Bills are due for Second Reading stage:- (1) The Local Content Bill (Senate Bills No.10 of 2018). (2) The Data Protection Bill (Senate Bills No.16 of 2018). (3) The County Outdoor Advertising Control Bill (Senate Bills No. 19 of 2018). (4) The County Statutory Instruments Bill (Senate Bills No. 21 of 2018).
