"content": "As Sen. Cheruiyot said, the country is growing and maturing slowly, and has made a number of steps. We are now at a point where we have started to pay attention to those that are in need. There is surely a lot of need in the country on issues and people like that. It is human to look at people in terms of the way they look, walk, do things and so on. So, we criticize and sometimes say bad things about People with Disabilities (PWDs). Sometimes we ignore them and say that they are not fully-grown human beings or people to be respected and so on. That comes from the fact that we are illiterate in our own ways. We do not understand the meaning of humanity. We do not know what a human being is. In my view, a human being is the brain. If the brain is there, we still have a human being in that body. If that brain dies, then we say that, that person is not there. All that is left in a brainless body is a hunk of flesh."
