At one time, I went to the American Embassy to try and get a visa to go and perform in the United States of America. At that time, I had released the Kigeugeu song. The interviewer told me that I had nothing to prove that I was a musician. I tried to sing, but they could not understand or even know what I was up to. They told me to go to any Kenyan organisation that would write a letter to prove that I was a musician."
