This issue of cash transfer is a thorn in our flesh despite the fact that the Government had very good intentions for the older persons in our society. The older persons in our society have been neglected. Some of their children have migrated to the cities leaving them in abject poverty. The Government had very good intentions. Imagine Kshs30 billion meant for food alone."
