    "content": "Thank you, Mr. Speaker, Sir. I thank the Senator for Taita Taveta for bringing this Petition. We must acknowledge the fact that Taita Taveta is endowed with a lot of ranches. Not many parts of this country have those ranches. Many years back, the Government policy was to develop those ranches for fattening animals. Many years back when the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) had programmes in Northern Kenya, animals were bought from there and were fattened in the ranches.
