    "content": "Clause 32 provides that the Kenya National Commission on Human Rights (KNCHR) shall be the entity responsible for overseeing the implementation of the Act. Clause 33(1) states that- “The functions of the Commission shall be to– (a) promote the protection and observance of the right to privacy; (b) monitor, investigate and report on the observance of the right to privacy; (c) formulate, implement and oversee programmes intended to raise public awareness of the right to privacy and obligations; (d) receive and investigate any complaint relating to infringement of the rights of a person under this Act; (e) provide a framework or mechanism for the effective management of conflicts and the resolution of disputes under this Act; and, (f) perform such other functions as may be prescribed by any other law or as the Commission may consider necessary for the promotion and protection of human rights.” Privacy is one of the most violated rights in this country, especially for us who do our work in the public space. I like it that this law will be housed under the KNCHR, so that people know that it is an issue of human rights violation.
