    "content": "THAT, the Schedule to the Bill be amended – (q) in the proposed amendment to section 16(1) by deleting the second proposed amendment. This is a deletion of the second proposed amendment. The amendment is necessary to retain the current provision of the Act, which states that the board may only invest in securities. Allowing the board to invest in real estate may result in deviation of the college’s core mandate. The Committee felt that it was not necessary. So, they would like to have the status quo as per the parent Act."
