"content": " Thank you, Hon. Deputy Speaker for giving me a chance to comment on this Petition. I watched brief in this matter as a young lawyer and I can tell you most of the parents perished due to high blood pressure occasioned by loss of their children, as they waited for compensation. It is a very weighty matter. My experience with this sort of compensation is that many times, as a practising lawyer, we have had to get contempt of court proceedings against the Solicitor-General for it even to be put in the budget. I think the Committee should come up with a structure so that compensations can be budgeted in advance or a fund is provided. Definitely, there will be orders from the courts against the Government and The electronic version of the Official Hansard Report is for information purposes only.
