It will also help farmers to reduce losses associated with storage, for example, the issue of pests. We know many farmers do not have the financial might to keep the produce, especially cereals, in good condition. The system will also remove the monopoly of the NCPB which has been the main storage facility for the country’s strategic food reserve."
