"content": "Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, to be removed from office is not an easy thing. Therefore, as a House that has been operating as a team, we must stand with our friends when they are happy and also when they are sad. In fact, the reason I requested for this opportunity is because Sen. Were, just like Sen. Mutula Kilonzo Jnr., has been doing a fantastic job in whipping us both from the Minority and the Majority sides. Sen Were has served for over a year and it is important for us to recognize it in her Curriculum Vitae (CV). In the one year that she has served in this House, she worked in a bi-partisan manner. She contributed immensely to the teamwork that we have as a House on both sides of the political divide. This also includes in our extra curricula activities, such as sports and welfare. When we visited many people who were in need or who needed the Senate to stand with them, she did a fantastic job. I hope that the Minority Side, in their internal arrangements, will also find something worthy and interesting for her to do beyond just being a Senator in the House. Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, that is not to say that Sen. Kwamboka is not competent. As she comes in, she should continue with that bi-partisan spirit and teamwork as we mobilize each other in this House. I believe that her experience as a former legislator in the county assemblies and her commitment to serve all of us will add value to this great House. I, therefore, wish both of them the very best. Thank you."
