"content": "It has come at the best time because we are proudly hosting the Sustainable Blue Economy Conference in November. The pillars of that conference are sustainability, controlling pollution and production, climate change and its accelerated growth, jobs and poverty alleviation. If you read the objectives of Pan-African Parliament, you will find the issues it focuses on like promoting transparency, peace, security and corporation. It addresses the SDG’s 17 goals and I will only address a few from the resolutions which have caught my eye. We have spoken about the issue of health in this country over and over again. It is a mess in the county governments. I hope we can put our words into action, on the issue of the Abuja Declaration so that, not less than 15 per cent of the budget goes to health. If we do this, it will eradicate the suffering we are seeing of our people. Every weekend, we hold Harambees to foot hospital bills. Our hospitals and health centres lack medicine. That way, we will have dealt with a big chunk of the problems that face this country. Another issue is the affirmative look to persons with disabilities and specifically albinism. We have had champions on this case like Hon. Isaac Mwaura who has been very vocal in this fight. If you read the Report, it has quoted him as having pushed hard for this to be passed. In some areas like Tanzania, albinos are faced with problems like being taken for ritual The electronic version of the Official Hansard Report is for information purposes only. Acertified version of this Report can be obtained from the Hansard Editor."
